JunkersJU-87B Stuka

The airplane kit contained all this (asmentioned at http://www.rcbazaar.com/products/959-junkers-ju-87b-stuka-16-span.aspx)die-cut balsa parts, plastic cowls and canopies, decals, plastic prop, wheels, tissue and a 24-page model building booklet. This helped me build my firstBalsa Airplane model with much ease than what I was imagining.

Though the design of this model is not allthat difficult, as a beginner I should not have chosen a model with this levelof wing complexity. However, I did chose this and start to build it. The fuselagewas an ease to build. I followed every level of detail to build the fuselage. Here is a pic of how the fuselage looked when it was half complete

Then it was the more complicated wing design. Usually thewing of a beginner model would be flat (2 dimensional). But with the Stuka, thewing is 3d. Aligning the wing was pretty complicated. How ever, I did manage tofix it in the end. Here is how the wing looked in a beginning phase.

Getting the rudder and the stabilizer were a lot simplerafter this much of work had gone in. But before the canopy is fit, I had tomake sure the propeller shaft was properly installed and the rubber driver wasalso in well in place. Once the entire unit was ready, the rest of the work waspainting the model.
